Beach photos

I have some more shots from the beach taken at Candon, La Union where my wife and I visited her good friend Tita Rem last weekend. Here is the post about that.

We were not able to go to the beach this year because of lots of reasons, but it was great seeing the ocean again, even if it meant just standing by the shore listening to the raging waves and taking photos with the late afternoon sun.

As I gazed at the slightly raging waters, I understood how La Union became a popular spot for surfing.

Happy Birthday Ate Gay!

Ms. Gay is an officemate and a friend, and she's one of the more dependable people here. Happy Birthday!

Gen (another officemate) got the cake as a surprise for Gay. She also got surprised because the cake toppled off in the office lobby! Hence the disfigured icing. But it was still delicious anyways. :-)

Template change

Whoops sorry for the disarray. I'm currently experimenting with new templates so I can post bigger photos.

Sampaloc!

A truly Filipino treat. Comes from the tamarind tree. The fresh "fruit" is mixed with brown sugar over heat, then sprinkled with salt.

It's a sweet, sour, and salty taste all mixed into one. Mouth watering yet?
